Make your own website to generate money

Once you have a decisive niche picked out, its time to make your own website. If you've never made a website, that may have been a problem in the past. Today, making your own website is as easy as ever and even the most computer illiterate can make money from a website of their own. This Hub is dedicated to teach you how to make your own website.

Steps to make your own website

1. Determine a domain name: Your domain name should contain the main keyword you're chasing after. By having your main keyword in your URL, you'll instantly tell the search engines what your page is about. To find out if the URL you'd like to use is available, go to GoDaddy.com and check its availability. If it's not, get creative. The main keyword for this hub would be "make your own website", if makeyourownwebsite.com isn't available, try howtomakeyourownwebsite.com. You can use dashes if you'd like, I prefer not to because most viewers don't type dashes when they're searching for a website so they might be trying to get to your website and type the URL without the dashes, causing you a lost visitor. Also, make sure your website URL doesn't interfere with any Copyright laws.
2. Find a multiple web hosting domain site: HostGator is probably the number one URL host of choice for a variety of reasons. The most important of which, the fact that they allow you to host unlimited domains for a low monthly fee (I pay $9.95 a month). Other than that, they have tremendous 24/7 customer service, free add-on programs such as WordPress and amazing website security.
3. Once you have your hosting site set up, you'll have to evaluate your experience to determine if you really know how to make your own website that will make money with the eBay affiliate program. If you don't, I suggest you use the Build A Niche Store (BANS) product. The BANS product gives you a complete step by step guideline on how to use their software to set up your first eBay Affiliate website and a lifetime membership to their forum. Their forum is probably the most helpful forum I've ever been part of. If you do have experience and know how to make your own website, I'd recommend using phpBay pro to incorporate with a WordPress theme. As we know, blog based sites are the choice sites of search engines and will help you rank high on them quickly.
4. In order to use phpBay, you need to have WordPress installed on your site. If you have HostGator as your host, just go to your cPanel, scroll down to Fantastico De Luxe and choose WordPress installation. Follow the instructions from there and you'll have WordPress installed on your page, its that simple.
   

Once you have all of these implemented, you can start to write a lot of content for your site. Apply for the eBay affiliate program and start making money from there! In my next few Hubs, I'll divulge more on how to make your own website.
