Search Engine Optimizing made simple

Since the inception of the internet, Search Engine Optimizing has slowly become the vital ingredient in internet marketing. This whole make money on computer internet fascination has led to a lot of what I call leech sites. These types of sites love to play off your emotions and attract you with the most easily malleable emotion, greed . These leech sites have to rely on paid advertising to get any traffic, we will rely on a having fresh content and constantly updating our site.

What is Search Engine Optimizing?

When a search engine crawls your page, it looks for specific trends in your page to decipher what the site is about. As a result of what they see, that is how your page will rank in the search engine results for your main keywords. You have to learn to enhance what the search engine is looking for in order to get more visitors and the most money out of your traffic. Here are some search engine optimizing techniques for you.

Check List for Search Engine Optimizing

  • Title: Your main keyword should be the first part of your title and be fewer than 80 characters. Search engines recognize repetitiveness so constantly repeating your keyword in the title will hurt your page rank. Titles that tell the viewer that this is a purchasing based site such as "Keyword for sale" will help lower the bounce rate. Also, make sure you have the least amount of stop words as possible. Stop words being “a”, “for”, “of”, “with”, etc. If you have a stop word in your title, search engines usually ignore them.
  • URL: Your domain name should be your keyword. In your articles, your main keyword of that article should be in your sub-domain. In the URL, don’t have to stress over stop words.
  • Meta Description: Your pages description should tell search engines precisely what its about. Search engines look over your meta description and then check your page to decide if the two correlate. So if your article keyword was laptop computers and your article had a line stating:“The laptop computers we have are some of the lowest priced you can find on the net!” In your meta description, you could have something like: “We have some of the lowest priced laptop computers on the net.” All i did was change around the words in the sentence and put them in the description. A rule of thumb, your description should be no longer than 160 characters because that is the general length of words a search engine can put in its results.
  • Keywords: The keywords of your article should have a regular occurrence in your article. You have to find the perfect amount of keyword occurrences so that the search engine can notice what your page is about but not so its considered spamming. Make sure those keywords are uncompetitive but still searched after. Micro Niche Finder is my favorite program for determining what keywords I will write about for each of my articles.
  • Bold and Italicized: Having your keyword styled as the first word in your page and within the last 50 words of your page is important. Search engines, after going over your head tag, will first see your styled keyword if its first and it will be the last thing it sees.
  • Using Header Tags: Your header tags help to break down specific parts of the article. If you were talking about your life schooling your headers could be elementary school, high school, and college. There are various header codes but the two most searched after, besides the H1 codes by search engines, Google especially, are h2 and h3. H2 would be your Main subtitle and h3 would further break it down. This Hub would have headers such as: <h2>Search Engine Optimizing</h2> <h3>Search Engine Optimizing Tips</h3>

Once I have my page optimized with everything above, I utilize Web CEO to help me break down my site and point me to where I need to improve my site so I can have the best search engine optimization.
